What is the RISE Framework

The RISE Framework is a multidisciplinary research and innovation effort focused on transforming how we screen, assess, and support speech and language development in young children.

Why RISE?

Traditional screening tools often:

Reflect narrow cultural or linguistic norms
Over identify or under identify children based on dialect, language background, or race
Require intensive training and time from educators and clinicians

The RISE Framework was launched to address these gaps, not with minor adjustments, but with a reimagined approach built from the ground up, informed by real-world classrooms, families, and data.
